Located in Yuhang Economic Development Zone, Zhejiang Advanced Manufacturing Institute of the Hong Kong University of Science & Technology (ZAMI), was co-established by HKUST, Zhejiang Department of Science & Technology and Yuhang District People's Government of Hangzhou City.

       With the talents advantage and technological support from HKUST, ZAMI is committed to advanced manufacturing technology research and its application. At present, our research interests cover mass customization, network based design & manufacturing, software development service, enterprise information integration, industrial product design & development, technological information data development, science & technology consulting service and etc.. Giving full play to its advantages in all regards, ZAMI strives to become an influential institute at home and abroad in such field like mass customization for the purpose of meeting the need for scientific and technological development in Zhejang as well as in Yanze River Delta, thus promoting the development in educational and scientific research of HKUST as well as comprehensive development and prosperity of science & technology, economy and society in Zhejiang.
